The recent AirconMech Charity 5k walk/jog/run which took place in Enniscorthy raised funds that will go towards the purchase of a new MRI scanner for Wexford General Hospital. The events was organised as part of AirconMech’s commitment to promoting positive wellbeing and mindfulness in the workplace and with over 300 runners turning out on the day, they certainly made an impact.
All ages, young and not so young, serious athletes, families and others delighted to participate raised €5,184 for the hospital. The organisers were delighted to welcome Tom Dempsey, of the 1996 hurling team, as MC. Tom thanked the many sponsors without whose support this event would not have been possible.
Accepting the cheque from Ciaran Sheridan, Chair of Friends of Wexford General Hospital, Patricia Hackett said “On behalf of the hospital I am so grateful to all who participated in this event and put so much effort into raising this very generous donation.”
